LOST HORIZON | A REAL FESTIVAL, IN A VIRTUAL WORLD

Live stream of VR experience available via Beatport, Twitch and via partner and artist Facebook, YouTube and Twitch accounts

The team behind Glastonburyโ€™s legendary Shangri-La, in partnership with VRJAM and Sansar, today announces Lost Horizon (3 & 4 July), the worldโ€™s largest music and arts festival in virtual reality.

The festival, in collaboration with Orca Sound Project and Beatport, features an interstellar line up of superstar DJs, underground acts, and visual artists, raising money for The Big Issue and Amnesty International*.

Lost Horizon mirrors Shangri-Laโ€™s huge outdoor art gallery. In addition to the incredible music line up, it will feature over 200 visual art pieces. All curated by ShangrilART on the ongoing theme of human connection.

Kaye Dunnings, Creative Director, comments:

โ€˜We need unity more than ever right now, in an industry that is falling away in front of us. By creating a digital platform to experience art and music in a new way, we are at the forefront of defining the next generation of live entertainment and creative communities as we know them.โ€™

Featured on the towering billboards that surround the Freedom Stage will be a new exhibition co-curated by world-famous graphic designer Malcolm Garrett with Lost Horizon and Shangri-La creative director Kaye Dunnings.

Lost Horizon is the Shangri-La teamโ€™s response to the pandemic affecting the planet, and raises funds for The Big Issue and Amnesty International.

Sheri Bryant, President of Sansar, comments:

โ€˜The future of live events is virtual and weโ€™re incredibly excited to be bringing it to fruition.โ€™

Donations to the charities will be made via the VR and streaming platforms, plus www.losthorizonfestival.com
