Goa Sunsplash 2019 – is going to get you breathless!

Music is in the sea breeze that strokes the beaches of amazing Goa, a tiny emerald land that is a magical haven for all the music junkies and beach babies. This pristine little city comes alive with Reggae music being played at Goa Sunsplash.

Nothing beats a skank in the sun with your friends and family, and Goa Sunsplash is sure to let you experience this. It gives you a sense of different tribes coming together. Goa Sunsplash is a two-day extravaganza, wrapped with the ideals of peace, love, and unity. Situated on the sun-soaked beaches of Goa, India, the festival aims to create a holistic lifestyle experience through music, art, dance, wellness programs, and social forums. Though Reggae music dominates a big part of the festival program, Roots music from across the globe has its space at Goa Sunsplash. It has witnessed massive headliners like Mad Professor, Johnny Osbourne, Zion Train, General Levy, Naaman, Manudigital, Skarra Mucci, and Cali P over the years. Bubbling energy is what defines Goa Sunsplash Music Festival.

Goa Sunsplash is currently at its 4th edition. It will be held on 12th-13th January 2019 at Riva Beach Resort, Mandrem, Goa. Founded by Reggae Rajahs, India’s main sound system crew, as a celebration of reggae music and culture, the festival is powered by 10,000 Lions Sound System.

The festival goes strictly by the time range fixed by the government laws. Hence, the festival opens at 12 noon every day and closes at 10 pm. After 10, the music is being played inside the place called the Lion’s Den. Sunsplash also gives you a chance to enjoy activities like yoga, meditation, dance workshops, massage, sound healing, martial arts, and social forums will make their debut as part of the programming. Its door is open for Children too. To add to the benefits, children under 12 are allowed free entry.

Goa Sunsplash offers you food from some of Goa’s finest eateries to satiate your hunger pangs. You can also buy yourself some unique crafts stocked from across the world at the Sunsplash flea market. 

GOA SUNSPLASH 2019 FESTIVAL ARENAS

Arambol Grove

Arambol Grove is the largest stage where people find themselves captivated by live bands and their iconic performances. The programming is eclectic and brings along all musical genres and influences incorporated within the festival.

Lion’s Den

Powered by 10,000 Lions Sound System, it is the one place for all those who are after thumping bass lines. Here you will find, Selectors and MCs playing everything from Roots, Reggae, and Dub to more modern Future Bass sound. Delhi Sultanate is on his way to Goa Sunsplash with his BFR Sound System to make the den roar like the jungle king. 

Mandrem Verandah

With a stunning view of the Arabian Sea, this is where the party really comes to life. DJs keep the crowd thumping with a fusion of different music genres like Dancehall, Soca, Afrobeats and Hip-Hop.

Reggae music in India is a growing scene. Artists from various parts of the subcontinent have gained a reputation across our country. With growing popularity, Reggae has become a staple to party culture in India. Furthermore, two handmade Reggae sound systems in the country are both changing the way that audience in India listen to it.

Goa Sunsplash 2019 brings to you a plethora of Reggae artists from across the globe. The line-up includes Kavin Reggae (check out his interview),
Kibir La Amlak, Anthony B, Dub Fx, Zj Liquid JA, Cian Finn, Delhi Sultanate, and many more. Come and catch them shred the mic with their scintillating live performances in front of your eyes.

HOW TO REACH

AIR: The nearest international airport is situated at Dabolim. Dabolim is approximately 29 KM away from Panaji. This international airport is well connected with the major domestic cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, as well as international major cities in the U.K. and Germany.

RAIL: Madgaon and Vasco-Da-Gama are the two main railway stations in Goa. These railway stations are well connected to Mumbai and other major cities like Delhi, Pune, Bangalore etc.

ROAD: The Goa State Transport Corporation offers many transport services. Maharashtra and Karnataka State Corporations operate from Kadamba bus stand in Panaji, making it easy for the travellers to reach Goa without any discomfort. Once you have reached Goa you can hire a cab or private taxi to reach the venue directly.
