Introduction- Rendezvous Fest
Rendezvous fest, the annual cultural fest of IIT Delhi is North India’s largest cultural festival. Inaugurated in 1976, IIT Delhi’s Rendezvous festival is a four-day extravaganza that is held in October attracting a whooping footfall of more than 1.6L every year.
Rendezvous Events
Apart from the celebrity guests and pro nites at IIT Delhi’s Rendezvous festival, major attractions at the IIT Delhi fest are its formal and informal events where students from various colleges of India participate and win prizes. Fashion Show, Board Game fiesta, Open Mela Quiz, Open Sports Quiz are few of the informal events at IIT Delhi fest.
- Music– Hip Hop Fiesta: Rap Battle, Hip Hop Fiesta: Beatboxing, Delhi Drum Circle
- Debate- Young India Debate
- Speaking arts– Protest Poetry, Chhatra Kavi Sanghoshthi, Comedy Hunt, Slam Blues
- Dramatics– Natika Vatika (stage play), Mimansa (street play), Swaang (mono act)
- Dance– B-Boying, duo dance, group dance, Bharatanatyam workshop

IITD Fest Rendezvous- A Mystical Odyssey, was held from 2nd to 5th October 2019. IIT-Delhi fest being the most popular festival of north India is one of the most awaited fests every year. Rendezvous fest is an amalgamation of art, technology, activities and attraction. With a star-studded line-up every year Rendezvous fest never fails to create a blast bigger than the previous year every time. With his strong voice and opinions, Kumar Vishwas addressed the students at IIT-Delhi fest, recited some thought-provoking poetry and left the audience with smiles.
The famous trio of Bollywood, Shankar-Ehssan-Loy were the star performers on the evening of first day of Rendezvous fest. Comedians Appurv Gupta and Gaurav Kapoor tickled the funny bones of the crowd with their humorous jokes and funny observations.
Famous rapper Naezy made the crowd go haywire with his songs and his rap. After the hits like Hum to Udd Gaye, Sage and Jeet, famous artist and musician Ritviz with his phenomenal energy set the stage for the night and made the crowd dance on his beats.
Popular music director and playback singer of Bollywood, Amit Trivedi performed at the Rendezvous fest and melted hearts of thousands of people with his soulful and melodious voice. With famous Bollywood songs like Namo Namo, Naina da kya Kasoor and Iktara, he left the crowd in a state of euphoria.
Pro Nites
Artists from different parts of the world have performed at the Pro Nites of IIT Delhi fest Rendezvous. It has been one the major attractions of the festival, where artists from 25+ countries have performed. IIT Delhi fest Rendezvous 2016 witnessed the performances of famous Indian bands Junkyard Groove and Spud in the Box. Famous artists such as Javed Akhtar, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Javed Ali have also performed at the IIT Delhi fest 2015 Rendezvous. Artists like Falak Shabir and Arijit singh gave fabulous performances in the year 2014. Farhan Akhtar and Hoobastank- American rock band were a part of the fest in 2013, Coke Studio artists- Papon and Shilpa Rao in 2012, Rabbi Shergill, Kailash Kher, Rohit Deshmukh, Mohit Chauhan and KK performed at the Rendezvous fest 2010.
News- IIT Delhi fest 2021
Even though Rendezvous festival 2020 could not take place due the pandemic, IIT Delhi is back with this year’s edition of their annual cultural fest. Rendezvous IIT Delhi 2021 is going to to be held in April 2021. So put on your dancing shoes and get ready to experience the magical vibe of Rendezvous IIT Delhi 2021.
