MOKSHA was born in 2003 and has, since, taken massive strides. And, this year is no exception. The annual cultural fest of Netaji Subhas University of Technology (formerly NSIT), is one of the most recognized cultural festivals of North India. It has created a lot of unforgettable memories in the hearts of its attendees. The three-day extravaganza is back as NSUT Moksha 2019 with contagious excitement, vibrant colors, and liveliness.
MOKSHA, for its people, is not just a fest, it’s a feeling! It has given a chance to people who want to prove themselves and others a dose of happiness and entertainment. It has always showcased innovation and creativity with its array of events which are a mixture of technical and informal backgrounds.
The legacy of MOKSHA has been greatly maintained by NSIT (read about it’s history here), and this year, its inheritance by NSUT will further take the heritage to greater heights. This year, NSUT hosts its first fest as a university. With greater funding, the grandeur is sure to swell up. So, be ready and start preparing for it as the theme this time is ‘RETRO EXTRAVAGANZA’. Get immersed in the retro ambiance and your intuitive talents as you will be tested on your love for retro.
Dialogues! Monologues! Dresses! All will contribute to an awesome 3-days-experience. Pro tip is, do indulge in as many theme-based events as possible, and relive the memories of the past.

Here’s a list of different genres of events you surely don’t want to miss:
1. FAHRENHEIT
“If you don’t have shadows, you’re not in the light.”
Be ready for a rise in temperature as the stars light the stage with performances that leave the audience enthralled. The Bollywood Pop night is just like the sumptuous dessert that we get at the end of a meal and therefore is a befitting end to a fabulous fest.
The likes of Shaan, KK, Kailash Kher have given spectacular performers in the MOKSHA grounds. This year be prepared to be bowled over by Salim Sulaiman at the Bollywood Pop Night.
2. HUMOR FEST
“Like a welcome summer rain, humor may suddenly cleanse and cool the earth, the air and you.”
No fest can be complete without rib- cracking humor. With the ever-growing culture of stand-up comedy in India, MOKSHA makes sure that our spectators get their fair dose of laughter from famous artists like Sumit Anand, Abish Mathew, Vipul Goyal, of TVF fame.
3. MUSIC
“Music is a language that doesn’t speak in particular words. It speaks in emotions, and if it’s in the bones, it’s in the bones.”
Music is to soul what stars are to the sky. The mythical tunes of Delhi’s brightest talent, in our event Dhwani, will transport you to surreal lands. At TNT, bands will battle it out and fireworks are guaranteed. The symphonies will make you feel one with the universe. Get ready to sway your hands, up in the sky.
4. AVALANCHE
”Good fashion is like rock music: all anarchy and revolt”.
This is the Rock show of NSUT. The magic that is created when Freddy Mercury or Metallica perform is replicated in our their own way. This is for the hardcore lovers of Rock music who want to be submerged in the sound. The Indian Ocean will rock you at thr Rock night this year.
5. PRO NIGHT
“A DJ can’t just play one song. It’s about playing a set, or how you connect songs in those two hours, and where you place them.”
The show attracts party animals from all over Delhi like a magnet attracts iron. Of course, the bombastic sound leaves the crowd mesmerized. It is said that a DJ’s sets echo for the several hours after the show, and not a word of it is wrong. Not to mention that Lost Stories, after performing at MOKSHA, became a name in the top DJs of India. This year to quench your EDM thirst, NSUT Moksha 2019 brings to you Mashd N Kutcher, the Australian dance music duo.
6. DANCE
“If you hit a wall, climb over it, crawl under it, or dance on top of it.”
Dance is the art of expression without words. It’s about communication as the soul thrones to the rum of the movement. Each year more than 30 teams participate and share this passion at MOKSHA.
The dance events are, Mudra, Street Dance, Oorja, Folk Dance.
7. ROGUE
“You can have anything you want in life if you dress for it.”
City glitterati leading designers, exclusive labels, and the best models describe the event. An evening of sheer poise and flair is Rouge.
8. DRAMATICS
“All the world’s a stage and most of us are desperately unrehearsed.”
SOCH – The Street Play and PARVAAZ – The Stage Play have plagued the souls of its attendees with magnificence.
