Veteran actor Sanjay Dutt mourned the loss of the Kaante producer, calling him “a true creative genius and a kind soul.” Kareena Kapoor shared throwback photos from the sets of Chameli, which Nandy had produced, accompanied by an infinity symbol and a folded hands emoji.

Director Sudhir Mishra, who worked with Nandy on Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, said, “Pritish Nandy changed my life. Only he could make a film like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi. I am so sorry, Pritish Da. You taught me so much.”
Journalist Sheela Bhatt also paid tribute, recalling Nandy’s groundbreaking work in magazine journalism. She wrote, “Pritish Nandy was a game-changer. He injected tremendous energy into the staid magazine journalism of the early ’80s with daring subjects, bold headlines, and captivating visuals.”
