Troye Sivan is an Australian singer-songwriter and actor who was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 5 June 1995. He has got more than 4,1 million subscribers and more than 250 million views on his YouTube channel. Among his releases are Blue Neighbourhood (2015), Wild (2015), and TRXYE (2014). Among his film credits are X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Spud. Troye Sivan songs that are famous include Talk Me Down, Wild and Happy Little Pill. Having come out to his family three years previous, the singer revealed that he is gay publicly with a YouTube video on 7 August 2013. Troye Sivan’s boyfriend at a time was Jacob Bixenman, a photographer and model. Sivan’s relationship status right now is unknown. Early Life and Acting

When he was two years old, Troye Sivan moved with his family from Johannesburg, South Africa to Perth, Australia. Sivan went to Carmel School until 2009 which is when he started homeschooling. He was into acting and singing as a child. Regal Theatre had a production called Oliver in 2007 in which he played Oliver Twist. In the following year, Sivan was cast in a short film made in West Australia, “Betrand the Terrible.” He got his biggest break when he played a young Wolverine in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Sivan’s next film role was in the film Spud.

Music Career

During 2007 he started uploading his singing videos to social media sites, gaining over 2 million subscribers. Additionally, he independently released two EPs: Dare to Dream in 2007 and June Haverly in 2012.
He signed a record deal with EMI Australia in 2013 and dropped his third EP, TRXYE, in 2014. It reached the top ten spot in Canada, New Zealand, and the United States. His new EP, WILD, was released in 2015. A trio of videos accompany the EP, and it also featured the New Zealand duo Broods and Australian rapper Tkay Maidza.

Blue Neighbourhood was Troye Sivan’s debut album, which came out in 2015. Besides the artists who featured on his WILD EP, his full-length features Australian rapper Allday, Betty Who, and Alex Hope. After its release, the album reached the Top Ten in three countries and the single “Wild” featured Alessia Cara. Blue Neighbourhood (The Remixes) came out in 2016. The singer toured with his debut album before going back to the studio and recording a follow-up.

For his contribution to Boy Erased’s “Revelation,” Troye Sivan was nominated for Best Original Song. In that year, the singer also dropped “My My My!” which got into the US Top 100 and was certified platinum in Australia. Then he released “Bloom” and “Dance to This,” featuring Ariana Grande. Bloom, his next album, was released that summer and featured these tracks. Featuring songwriting and production by Leland, Allie X, Ariel Rechtshaid and Oscar Holter, the album was also a bold statement and Billboard ranked it #4. The decade of Sivan’s career also saw him team up with Charli XCX (“1999), Lauv (“I’m So Tired…”), BTS (“Louder Than Bombs”), and Allie X (“Love Me Wrong”). Troye Sivan has also collaborated with Martin Garrix on the track “There for You” which came out in 2017.

“Take Yourself Home,” from the EP In a Dream, marked the singer’s first release in 2020. The EP also featured the song Easy. In 2021, more music was released, like “Angel Baby” and “You” (with Regard and Tate McRae).
