Early Life
Nick Leonardus van de Wall, also known as Afrojack, is a Dutch DJ, track producer and remixer from Spijkenisse, South Holland. In 2007, he founded the record label Wall Recordings; his debut album Forget the World was released in 2014. DJ Afrojack was born on 9th September 1987 and grew up in Spijkenisse. He was born to a Dutch mother and a Surinamese father. He was raised by his single mother. His mother owned a local gym. After Afrojack left school he worked as a graphic designer at the graphics in Rotterdam for a year.
Career
At the age of 14 DJ Afrojack started DJing at local pubs and clubs along with it he designs websites for his fellow musicians and from this, he earned an additional income. In 2007 DJ Afrojack’s song ‘In Your Face’ was released.Since then Afrojack runs his level wall recordings which represent many producers including KIIDA, Apster, Dwayne, D.O.D,Karim Mika and others.In July 2010 DJ Afrojack created an essential mix for BBC radio.
Then later in 2011, he was featured on pit bull’s number one hit single ‘Give Me Everything ‘. He also launched his smashing single with David Guetta ‘The Future.’ In 2011 he also started Co-producing music with many other artists including David Guetta, Mike Brown and Madonna. His appearance was seen in the song alongside Nicki Minaj and Bebe Rexha. In 2012 he was marked as the headliner at several electronic dance music festivals including Tomorrowland, ultra music festival and Coachella. In 2012 he also appeared in different countries and 40 other locations; he even appeared at the ultra music festival in Miami and Coachella in Indio, California. In 2013 Afrojack was confirmed to be the 7th highest paid DJ according to Forbes magazine.
In 2014 he released his debut album ‘Forget The World. In 2015 he was featured in a single by David Guetta’s ‘Hey Mama’. In 2016 his song called Bieber was featured in the game Final Fantasy XV.His appearance was also seen in the 2016 documentary film which is about the American DJ and producer Steve Aoki the documentary was ‘sleep when I’m dead’ this documentary was also nominated for a Grammy Award. In 2017 he released the NLW EP. In the same year, he released a new single ‘Another Life’.
In 2018 DJ AFROJACK released a new track ‘Bed of Roses’. He also debuted many of his tracks ‘Bassride’, and ‘Step Back’ at Tomorrowland in Boom, Belgium. In 2020 he said that he would perform at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Personal Life
Earlier Afrojack and Paris Hilton dated for almost 6 months at the time when he was producing his second album. DJ Afrojack and Italian singer Elettra Lamborghini had an engagement in the year 2019 in public. Later both were married to each other on 26th September 2020 at Lake Como in Italy.
