Olivia Rodrigo has promised fans her new music is “so close to being done.” The 20-year-old singer made the revelation as she celebrated the second anniversary of the release of her debut album, Sour.
In an Instagram post, Rodrigo shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the making of Sour, as well as a few seconds of her new music. She also wrote a heartfelt message about the album, saying that it “means so much to me” and that she is “incredibly grateful” for its success.
“Oh man oh man oh man. SOUR turns 2 years old today,” she wrote.
“No words could ever describe how much this album means to me and how insanely grateful I feel for every blessing it has brought into my life. the new stuff is so so so so so close to being done I pinky promise.”
Rodrigo has been working on her new music for several months. In January, she shared a video of herself in the studio with producer Dan Nigro, who also worked on Sour. “Working on so many new songs I’m excited to show u,” she wrote at the time.
While Rodrigo has not yet announced a release date for her new music, she has promised that it is “so close to being done.” Fans can expect to hear it soon!
