Renowned South Korean singer Aoora is set to captivate the K-pop enthusiasts of Mumbai with an electrifying live performance. Fans in Mumbai can rejoice as they prepare to witness the musical prowess of Aoora at Oberoi Mall on June 17.
The event, which will take place from 12 pm to 3:30 pm, offers an exclusive opportunity for fans to engage with the singing sensation himself. Aoora, also known as Park Min-jun, has already captured the hearts of Indian music lovers with his K-pop rendition of the iconic disco classic “Jimmy Jimmy” by Bappi Lahiri from the film Disco Dancer (1982).
Expressing his fondness for Indian music, Aoora shared his inspiration behind the K-pop version of “Jimmy Jimmy.” He was immediately drawn to its infectious disco beats and energetic vibe. By infusing K-pop elements while preserving the original disco essence, Aoora created a unique rendition that has garnered immense popularity among listeners. In an interview with ZeeNews, Aoora expressed his joy at the positive reception of his adaptation.
“I have been listening to a lot of Indian music, and about two months back, I heard this song, Jimmy Jimmy. I was very attracted to its disco beats. The energy of the song was also amazing. I felt adding K-pop beats to this song while keeping the original disco element intact would be cool. I am so happy that people like this version of the song,” Aoora told ZeeNews.
Aoora wants to collaborate with Tiger Shroff
Furthermore, Aoora expressed his desire to work with Tiger Shroff, praising the Bollywood star’s exceptional dancing and action skills. Sharing his aspirations, Aoora eagerly looks forward to collaborating with his favorite Bollywood artist.
“I want to collaborate with Tiger Shroff. I love Tiger’s dance and action moves. He’s my favourite, and I want to do something with him,” he said.
Aoora has also put his K-pop touch on the famous song “Tere Pyaar Mein” from the film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.
